The explanations are clear and the definitions are derived without confusing intermediate nonsense, with supplementary diagrams to enhance understanding.

However, certain topics the book covers could use a bit of rewriting to make it clearer.

Not to say these sections are bad but cirfuits could be ulabyy. A big bonus with this book though is that it is super thin and light, much michell than the giant dictionaries other textbooks look like.

Great for learning the basics of circuitry and circuit analysis! Would recommend to any beginner student or enthusiast. This book is excellent. It is detailed, full of figures, and has great explanations.

Circuts book uses very straightforward examples, clear and precise language, and offers neat insights into the use of circuits in the real world. Compared to others in its field, this book is cheeper and much better. I would highly, highly recommend this to anyone interesting in Electrical Engineering. This is a great starting point and an important piece of any engineer’s library.

One person found this helpful. This book arrived ahead of the projected arrival date and is in great condition for a used text book. As an EE student this is probably going to get alot of use. I have grown to dislike this book over the two semesters I’ve used it fqwwaz a student.

At first it was just a book but now as I’m reaching the end of the book and topics are more complicated I find it necessary to go to other textbooks to learn the material.

The major, overriding problem throughout the entire book is a lack of practice problems at the end of each chapter.

Circuits by Fawwaz T. Ulaby & Michel M. Maharbiz 2nd Edition | eBay

Sure, there are problems there but there are very few answers given and no solutions available to the student. Having about 2 or 3 times the problems at the end of each chapter and a student solutions manual available would have greatly increased my understanding of the topics presented.

Students in my class have reverted to using the old textbook for help in learning the material because this book just gives no opportunity to do practice problems. I don’t know if it’s just a quirky instructor or a lacking in the book but some topics are missing from the book: So for these parts we have no resource whatsoever.

It has been made clear, as though us students should be thankful, that the department switched to this textbook to save the student money. In the end, the textbook is inferior to the old, more costly, book. If a student ends up having to buy two text books because the cheaper one isn’t sufficient then it really isn’t cheaper after all. The early topics are explained well. There is a clear lack of worked out problems for you to follow and thoroughly understand what you learn.

It’s almost as if the authors of this text rushed it and did not finish everything they set out to do. This book is simply awesome. It has a great layout, informative example problems, and a wealth of circuit schematics and diagrams.

As if that wasn’t enough, it also throws in some extra material about applications of circuits and their use in the modern world.

Best of all, it’s pretty cheap. This is one book that EE majors will want to keep after the course is done. See all 8 reviews. What other items do customers buy after viewing this item? Fundamentals of Logic Design Hardcover. Pages with related products.
